PURPOSE

This file records what was removed from the publication edition and why.

HIDDEN COMPLETELY

- Recovered passwords and password-verification values
- Candidate lists and personal clue contents
- BIP39 recovery words and wallet password
- Private keys, WIFs, decrypted private wallet, and raw signed transaction
- Full wallet ID
- All source addresses and UTXO outpoints
- PayPal Bitcoin address and QR payload
- Transaction ID and block hash
- Exact block height and exact timestamp in the explorer image
- Windows usernames, machine name, SIDs, and full local paths
- Full source JSON records
- Unrelated wallet investigations

PUBLIC APPROXIMATIONS

- Wallet value is described as approximately 0.0033 BTC.
- The final state is described as confirmed in July 2026.
- Source hashes shown inside figures are shortened.
- The public file manifest contains full hashes only for the newly published,
  already-redacted files.

IMAGE HANDLING

04-paypal-destination-redacted.png:
- Built from the original 714 x 677 owner-provided screenshot.
- The entire QR and quiet zone were covered with one opaque rectangle.
- The entire wrapped Bitcoin address was covered with one opaque rectangle.
- The output was flattened into a new 24-bit PNG and re-encoded without the
  original image metadata.

05-transaction-confirmation-redacted.png:
- Built from an actual Blockstream explorer capture after confirmation.
- Transaction ID, block hash, exact height, exact timestamp, and the repeated
  lower transaction identifier were removed or excluded.
- The image was cropped before the lower identifier and flattened into a new
  24-bit PNG.

The three evidence cards were rendered from sanitized aggregate values. They
never contained the hidden values, so there is no secret text underneath their
visible redaction labels.

QUALITY-ASSURANCE RULES
-----------------------
- Do not add the confidential paper to the website repository.
- Do not upload the original PayPal screenshot.
- Do not publish source JSON, source-copy, working wallet files, probe vaults,
  candidate lists, potfiles, target hashes, or raw transaction data.
- Do not use blur or pixelation for future redactions.
- Keep this redaction record and the public evidence manifest with the package.
- If the public paper is edited later, rerun the address/path/hex-pattern scan
  and regenerate the public evidence manifest.

TRACEABILITY NOTE
-----------------
Bitcoin is a public ledger. Even when direct identifiers are hidden, combining
too many exact chain facts can make a transaction discoverable. The publication
edition therefore avoids presenting the exact amount, block, timestamp, fee,
input count, and output count as one searchable combination.
